A concept I came up with for a brand film celebrating Subaru's 40th anniversary of their 'All Wheel Drive' SAWD technology.
This machine is a wheel driven flip book of sorts. The machine generates the moving image by passing each frame under the tyre using the tyres traction to pull the frames underneath it. The frames are elevated upwards towards the tyre by a hydraulic lift mechanism.
Each tyre has a camera mounted above it to capture the resulting animation.
The screen is split four ways to show the view from each of the mounted cameras. The viewer can then see the film as well as cutting to the machine creating it. At certain points the frames can merge together filling the screen where the animation flows from one screen to another.
The animation will follow a vehicle on a multi dimensional journey which demonstrates the power of SAWD.
